Heh Heh....no one reads my blog anymore...with good reason since I really don't post much. So since no one reads the blog...I will excitedly announce that Ian is going to be a big brother :)
It is too early to tell anyone...I'm only 6 weeks along...so I'll just blog about it until I can tell people :)
I went to the doctor today and everything looks good...there was a baby this time! I had an empty sack in February and had a hell of time...so I was very nervous today to see that everything is going well! I'm very excited! It will be a winter baby...due February 3. I hope it won't feel left out in the fall time when we all have our birthdays :)
Thankfully, as with Ian, I've had no morning sickness...yippee :) I'm not too tired either which is good because Ian gets really pissed off if I lay down and don't play with him. I imagine he's going to have to get over the fact that Mommy is going to have to lay down in the future! My back for some reason is KILLING me....probably from picking a 35lb boy up occasionally. One of Brian's friends came to visit this weekend and said that his 3 year old weights 35 lbs! I've got a solid boy on my hands :) I love the little guy...his chunky cheeks...the way he hugs me and gives me kisses before I put him down for a nap. An annoying thing he's been doing lately is spitting. He finds it so funny to just start spitting....somtimes while he is eating...so not a pretty picture! I just need to stop reacting and maybe he will get over it!

Cooking with Ian
I'm exhausted (didn't sleep so well last night) and Brian is sick with a cold....again. But today ended up being a lot of fun! In the morning we had our last art class...Ian got to paint and played a lot with the play-doe. After naps I took on the task of baking some scones....with Ian helping me. Yesterday he helped me a little bit in the kitchen and today he was adamant about helping me again. It turned out to be a lot of fun...I would measure out the ingredients and he would help me pour them into the mixture. Then he put the raspberries into the mixer. I then ate a blueberry and he thought that was a stupendous idea and therefore...not many blueberries made it into the batter. The scones turned out so good!! Ian is going to be such a good little cook!

Here it goes again!
Oh it's been so long since I've blogged...holy moly. Heck the last time I blogged I didn't even know I was having a boy! Well it's been a hell of a ride that's for sure. I had NO idea what I was getting myself into. But it's time to get blogging again. It'll be a good record for me and everyone else in the future.
This blog will be pretty Ian-centric...for that is my life now. I live and breath Ian.
One day maybe (hopefully) I'll find Joy again.
Well today we had fun in music class in the morning...Ian loves when the instruments come out. He's getting better and better and putting them away when it's clean up time. After that we went to the park and had fun in the water and sand. He did not want to go home! I did...I was starving...it was lunch time!
Thankfully he is currently good at taking naps...I just know I'm jinxing it by saying this! I really don't give him a choice though...naps keep me sane. Naps are like a heavenly dark chocolate. Naps are SURVIVAL!
I was talking to a fellow mom the other day and we were trying to figure out how in the world the human species has survived! I mean really...doing this mothering thing is SO HARD...it's amazing that we don't eat them or something (totally kidding). I think that that is why they are made so cute...you don't want to eat cute things! Another reason...and a huge reason to me that makes so much sense is that we as parents never used to raise kids by ourselves. We had family...grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles in the next teepee/or cave over. I grew up with a grandmother right down the street...so did Brian. SIGH. What I wouldn't give to have my mom living down the street!
Anyhoo...after Ian took a nice long nap...I discovered an AWESOME recipe for sidewalk chalk paint! Wow...someones a genius..whoever thought up this recipe. SO easy peasy and Ian LOVED it!
Take cornstarch
Take warm water...mix til it will drip off a spoon.
Mix in food coloring...and wa la...you have some STUPENDOUS sidwalk paint! It's child safe, environment safe, and clothing safe...so cool!
Who'd of thunk! Ok..maybe everyone else but me :)
Here are some pics!

Oh he got very decorated...we're hoping tatoos are not next!
